Hey all,

Well, the new game is confirmed. It’s a music making games which according to Screenhog is ‘cool’. Here’s the post from the CP Blog:

“Hi Everyone!

Ever since Club Penguin began, there has been a DJ table sitting in the Night Club.

The plan always was to turn the DJ table into something more fun, something more interactive, but we never really got around to it.

Until now.

On Friday, July 25 with the launch of the Music Jam ‘08 party, we are introducing the new game! It’s Club Penguin’s first music-making game!

mixmaster_2.jpg

Of course, it’s a little hard to show how cool it is from just a screenshot, since you can’t actually hear the music. But when it launches with the party, you will.

What do you think?

Until then…waddle on!

-Club Penguin Team”

Doesn’t look too bad ehe? Not so good for us musically challenged ones? Maybe we will be able to put the music we make into our Igloos? Not likely though… ;)

CPIP has also finished, here’s the post from their blog:

“Hello Penguins!

The features were successfully launched! Based on your feedback, we’re still doing some tweaking - and fixing a few bugs, but things are looking good.

greenpuffle at ice.jpg
Next week, the CPIP blog will be closing for the time being. You guys have helped a lot–starting back in March with the Server Test and in April with all the feedback on the site redesign! The Club Penguin Team sends a huge ‘thanks’ for all the work and enthusiasm you’ve put into CPIP. I’ll be posting a final blog next week but I wanted to give you the heads up.

You’ll be able to leave comments until next Wednesday, and we still really want to hear your suggestions and ideas about how to make these features even better.

Until then…waddle on!

-The Club Penguin Team”

It’s a little sad that it’s over, but I’m sure it will be back…I’m sure. :) That’s all for now. Have a great day!

~Squishy133~

Hello, Josh here!

Unfortunately, I’m having trouble uploading pictures, so all the pictures in this post thanks to Wwe Adam, unless I have said otherwise.

The new Furniture Catalog was released today.

[picture not available]

Secrets:

Guitar Stand —> Click on the upright piano.

Vegetable Garden —> Click on the Coffee Shop Plant.

Flower Planter —> Click on the top of the Palm Tree

Clam —> Click on the seaweed.

The new furniture is musical stuff.  Some things were brought back [concert lights, micorphone, upright piano, etc.] but there were a few new things [eg. guitar stand, musical note wall item, etc.]  I’m not sure what they look like because I’m not a member, but if you’re a member, check ‘em out!

Also, for members there are three new igloo music soundtracks available.

I’m not sure what they sound like because Igloo Music is only available to paying members.

Something is happening at the Night Club!  Perhaps the construction of the new DJ Game BillyBob was talking about?  Let’s hope it’s finished before th eparty, next Friday!

The Treble Clef pin is hidden in the Cave/Pool.

New CP Blog Post:

Hello Penguins!

The new features have definitely stirred up a lot of excitement since they launched successfully yesterday. Your feedback so far has been fantastic and really helpful! I hope you’re having fun exploring and trying out the features, and even discovering some that we didn’t announce. I heard about a few of them yesterday from some of you!
igloo-blog2.jpg
As soon as the features launched, the team got to work on a few changes based on your comments. The big one they’re working on today is with viewing igloos on the map. The team is adding the ability to view igloos you can visit as a list. I’ll let you know when it is added!
Thanks for letting us know what you think of all the features–keep the comments coming!
The team is also working on fixing a few bugs. Some of you expressed concern about the green puffle at the Ice Rink and wondered if it’s permanent (some of you really liked it too!). Don’t worry, the rink will go back to normal soon–so enjoy the green puffle while it’s there! There’s a bug with the Ice Rink right now, and when it’s fixed you’ll be able to play hockey again!
I’ll post more updates as they come in!
Until then…waddle on!
-The Club Penguin Team
And a similar post on the CPIP blog which I won’t post.
The SWF link put on th eBlogroll yesterday no longer works.
~Josh

Hey all,

Looks like the updates are out, I’ve still to log on and check them, but while I do that, here’s the post from the CP Blog:

“Hello Penguins!

Great news!! The features have launched! Thanks to all of you for your help, patience and involvement in this project!

Be sure to let us know what you like and even what you think should be changed.

I’m really excited about Penguin Mail and wanted to remind everyone to check their mailboxes as soon as they have the chance. You can view your mailbox by clicking the envelope on the top left of your screen. And be sure to check it often because now buddies can send you mail even when you’re not online which means you’ll probably have mail waiting for you!! Plus you never know who you might get a postcard from!
postcardshot.jpg
Here’s a quick list of features to look for:

  • Server selection (this one you’ll notice when you’re logging into Club Penguin!)
  • Penguin Mail (click the envelope on the top left screen to try it out)
  • Player Card redesign (check out the sorting function!)
  • Igloo background (This one just looks really cool!)
There’s a lot of smaller stuff too–can you find some of it? I’ll post a more detailed list later this week!

As with anything new like this, there will probably be some bugs and as always, the team will not stop working on it until they’re all squashed.

A couple quick notes:

  • Your penguin name and password will need to be re-entered when you login for the first time with the new features. If you can’t remember your password, just click the Forgot Password link below the login. A new password will be sent to the email you used to create your penguin account.
  • You need to have Flash Player 9 installed on your computer in order to play Club Penguin.
As always, let us know what you think!
Until then… waddle on!”

Cool ehe? Well I’m checking the new updates now, but just out of curiosity, is your /load.swf Club Penguin site working? Mine just says it’s ‘a wrong turn and to go back’. Pshh.
Oooh, The log in screen is crazyy!! I’m not sure I like it though…the old one with countries was better.

Penguin mail is out too! And lookie, there is a free item! Coolness, here’s a pic:

Not bad, is it? To get the blue bag, you need to have had an account before the updates and you need to click the blue bag.

There are also a whole heap of new post cards, I’ll list them. They all still cost $10. Some of them also have the same message, with new pics:
  • “Hey There”
  • “Lets Hang Out”
  • “Cool Igloo Party”
  • “Cool Igloo”
  • “Thanks For Sstopping By”

The only thing that annoys me about this is that they switched the icon’s for buddy requests with the one for post cards, so I keep thinking I have buddies. :O

Now, the playercards. They’re pretty cool too! When you click on a penguin to see its playercard, it goes from being blank and then their clothes, background etc. fade in. Pretty neat! Here’s a pic:

Now, to the igloo background! Wow, they’ve made some real updates in the igloos! Here’s a picture of what I saw when I fist walked in:

They’ve added a spy phone! LOL. Also, notice the tree’s in the background? Cool ehe? That changes when your editing, here, have a look:

When you edit your igloo now, you need to click the little disk down the bottom on the left to save it. Also, the background looks like writing paper! :D Maybe in the future we will be able to buy different igloo backgrounds?

They also changed the way we look at the igloo’s that have been opened. It reminds me of Neopets really, here’s a pic:

I’ve got to go get dinner now, I’ll try finish updating tonight. :)

~Squishy133~

Update: [3 Hours Later...]

Mmm, dinner.

Well, strange things are going on in Club Penguin. I logged onto my non-member account, and first I read on the penguin forums that apparently you get some mailI notice when you adopt a new puffle. So I figure, why not check it out. I get one, name it Moo Moo (Don’t ask) and then I see that there is no penguin mail envelope at the top of the page. Weird huh? Bug I suppose…so I go to my igloo, and guess what? The puffle isn’t there! This is soo annoying! I’m going to email them….lol.

Anyway, thanks Josh for the link to the new .swf website, it’s in my blogroll on the side bar if you need it. :D

Here’s a few other new things I’ve noticed:

  • The green puffle, known as the keeper, has moved over to the Ice Rink. He’s hogging the puck, so now no one can play hockey! Gosh! I don’t know what’s going on - but it’s sure to be in the paper tomorrow - but no hockey playing for a while, I guess. :(
  • They have slightly changed the font around. It looks weird.
  • They have changed the words that come up when rooms are loading. E.g. Loading Igloo. I know, not important, but it is a change isn’t it?

Oh my! Now the playercards aren’t working! I can add items to my penguin, but I can’t see them on the playercard, nor can I see other penguin’s player cards - they just come up with a blank penguin. :(

Guess these updates are rather glitchy aren’t they? Well, no wonder a whole heap of people don’t like them. Me, personally, think they are ‘ok’. Some are good, some, are well….bothersome.

Another strange thing I’ve noticed going on is that a whole heap of penguins will be stuck in one spot, mainly the place where you enter the room. It’s really strange! It’s not a famous penguin crowd either, because they just stand there…no moving. GLITCH ALERT!!! *sirens - wooo, wooo*

Other than this news, there is a CP ds game coming out! Weird huh? Here’s the post from the CP Blog:

“Hello penguins!

I am very excited to be the first to let you know about a very special project we’ve been working on!

Ever since Club Penguin was launched, many of you have been asking and talking about a DS game and we’ve been listening. Here’s a bit of what you can look forward to:

cp-ds-art-blog2.jpg

I can’t get into too much detail but you might be wondering about the name ‘Elite Penguin Force’. In the DS game you take on a special role as part of the Elite Penguin Force and solve mysteries that even Secret Agents don’t know about!

That’s just the start! You’ll also be able to play some of your favorite mini games and earn coins and other rewards that can be uploaded into your Penguin account!

I’ll have more info in the coming months. We’re hoping to have the game done by this holiday season so you’ll only have to wait a few more months!

As always let us know what you think.

Until then…waddle on!

-The Club Penguin Team”

Coolness. I’ve got a ds, but I don’t know if I will buy it. It would mean I would need to get WiFi, which I have been wanting, but haven’t got around to getting. I wonder what sort of ‘rewards’ are in store?

ZOMG. I noticed a new thing in the ‘help’ section of the Club Penguin site. Here’s what it says.

“Parent accounts are a fantastic way for you, the parent, to be involved with your child’s experience in Club Penguin. Some of the features available with a parent account are:

  • Change chat privileges from Standard Safe Chat to Ultimate Safe Chat
  • Change penguin password
  • View detailed payment, ban, and connection history
  • Find out when your penguin account will expire
  • Coming soon! - Control the amount of time your child plays Club Penguin in a day. “

Not that my parents would use it, or care, or know about it. But it may be of intrest to some of you… ;)

In normal news, I saw the movie Mamma Mia today. It was super corny, but funny none the less. My favourite character was Harry, but there was a terrible plot twist that was soo annoying, it’s (Highlight it with your mouse to see, but be warned, it’s a spoiler!!): He was gay! Ahh, not that he was hot or anything…but still, AHH!

And I’m going to Disney on Ice tomorrow! Yay! I know it’s a kids thing, but it’s fun so who cares? :D

Tell me what you think of all this news, and this very very super long post…I’ll stop now…although it’s a little to far past it to say ‘I should quit while I’m ahead.’

~Squishy133~

Hey all,

The updates for CP are being uploaded right now! Isn’t that fantastic? Hopefully they should be uploaded by this arvo (Australian time) as I think I’m going to the movies, to see Mamma Mia! Should be cool. Anyway, you won’t be able to log into Club Penguin for the time being, as they had to take down the servers in order to update everything. It’s worth it I guess.

Also, voting for the header contest I entered on Josh’s site is currently on, so click the link and head on over to vote for your favourite header at Raining Water! Good luck to everyone who entered and thanks for voting if you do!

I had a really crazy dream last night, maybe I’ll tell you guys about it later. Lol, it was really strange, as my dreams often are. I have a twisted mind sometimes… ;) (That was meant in a totally non-dirty way).

Thats about all for me to report, so have a fantastic day.

~Squishy133~

Hey all,

I just found out, the CPIP updates will be out today. Thursday. Goodie! :D Here are the two posts about it from the CP blog and the CPIP blog:

“Hello Penguins!
I just heard some great news! The new features we’ve all been eagerly waiting for are set to launch on Thursday! The team is squashing a few more bugs and if all goes as planned, you’ll be able to login and use the new features before the end of the week!
Also,  Squidzoid is returning to The Stage this Friday.  When it was here in January, a lot of you asked if it would come back…. Since it got such great reviews, it will return this Friday–with a couple changes. I don’t want to ruin the surprise, but here’s a snapshot of what will be added to the play on Friday.

Until then… waddle on!

Here’s the CPIP one:
 ”Hello Penguins!
I wanted to be the first to let you know! The new features are expected to launch sometime on Thursday! As soon as they launch, we’ll need your help to try it out and of course let us know what you think.

The team is still working on a few last minute bugs and if all goes as planned you’ll be able to check out the new features before the end of the week.
Until then…waddle on!

I don’t know if I will be online tonight to update, I’ve got work, but I’ll try. :) Otherwise, wait till tommorow morning.

Hey all,

What’s coming? The CPIP updates of course! No, of course you didn’t think it was a giant monster ;) .

There have been two posts on both the CP and CPIP blogs to tell us this, and here they are. I’ll start with the CP blog:

Hello Penguins!

It was great to hear all your feedback about the new catalog items.  I’m happy to hear you’re enjoying the new stuff! And speaking of new stuff… the team has been working hard on some new features and they’re almost ready to launch. They’re doing a bit more testing and the plan is to launch them later this week.

To find out about the new features check out the Club Penguin Improvement Project (CPIP)–it’s the place we’ve been keeping everyone up to date on each of the new features and where many of you have been providing a lot of great feedback! Check it out at clubpenguin.com/cpip.

Click on the blog to read up about each of the features.
blog-monday1.jpgAs soon as they launch, you’ll be able to login to Club Penguin and check them out for yourself. As always, we can’t wait to hear what you think!!

Until then… waddle on!

-Club Penguin Team

And here is the CPIP post:
Hello Penguins!

The team is ready to launch the new features we’ve been talking about. They are in the last stages of testing and plan to launch later this week! You’ll be the first to know as soon as I hear the exact day!

When the features launch your help will be needed to login to Club Penguin, try everything out and, of course, to tell us what you think. If you find anything that’s not working, be sure to let us know.

Here’s a summary of the features we’ve been talking about and what will be launched:

  • New server selection (recommended servers and buddies easier to find)
  • Igloo background!
  • Penguin Mail (sending and receiving postcards improved)
  • Player Card update (sorting items by category)

Thanks for all your great feedback so far–it’s been a huge help as we’ve been working on these features! Keep it coming!

Until then… waddle on!

-Club Penguin Team

That’s all we’ve got from the CP team, so we don’t know anything about the dates yet, but I’m going to take a stab and guess they will be out either on Friday or sometime during the weekend. But don’t fret, as soon as I know about them, so will you! :) Check back for all the lowdown.
On another note, how’s life? I’m still on holidays, and I just got elastics on my braces (Ouch, sooo painful) so I’ve been withering away from lack of food. It’s so hard to eat. This morning’s breakfast consisted of, well, not much at all. :O So this is me, very hungry, and losing weight (this isn’t a good thing at my size). I want food!!!!!
~Squishy133~

Hey all,

Nothing really to post about. I was just bored. :) I made a new header, what do you think? I was a little zapped of creativity, so it’s not fantastic, but It’ll do. I’ve also entered the header competition on Josh’s site, Raining Water. Here’s the link to my entry if you want to check it out: MY ENTRY.

I was just watching Doctor Who season 4, episode 2. Has anyone seen it? Not likely…lol. I loved it though. Yep. I’m such a nerd.

That’s about all I’ve got to say. I’m very bored. It’s 9:12pm here….and I’ve got nothing to do. Guess I’ll go make more headers…

~Squishy133~

This mission was released in March 2007. Here’s a pic of the mission info:

1. Whent the mission starts, you will be outside the vault. Talk to the penguin standing there, and he will eventually close the vault door, but won’t be able to open it again.

2. Go up into the manager’s office. Scroll around the room until you come to the couch.

3. Go underneath the couch & pick up the floppy disc and paper clip and put them in your inventory.

4. Go back out from under the couch and scroll around the room until you come to the computer.

5. Turn the computer on and put the floppy disc into it.

6. Once the computer turns on, go into ‘my files’ and then ‘Combination_Number’. It will come up with a code, which you have to remember (I would suggest writing it down). It changes each time you do the mission.

7. Go back downstairs and put the combination into the door.

NOTE: This picture is just an example. Your combination will be different.

8. Go into the vault and click on the coins on the roof. Then your spy phone will ring, telling you to go to HQ to meet G.

9. Go to HQ and talk to G and look at the video surveillance. Then ask him for his perspectave, and then if there is anything else you need to know. He will show you where to find the rooftop key. The key you need is the top left one.

10. Go back to the gift shop & then into the office again. Put the key into the lock of the door to the rooftop.

11. Once you get on the rooftop, pick up the white fibres in the drain.

12. Use the spanner in your spy phone to open the ‘Powa box’

13. Go into the power box and use the paper clip to break it.

14. Go back downstairs to the gift shop and into the vault, where the coins have fallen down. Talk to the penguin again.

15. Go back to HQ and report your findings to G. Also give him the white fibres. He will then ask you to turn the power in the night club back on. Scroll around until you come to the map with the flashing red lights, and pick up the flashlight underneath it.

16. Go to the town and talk to the brown penguin crying outside the night club.

17. Go inside the night club. Turn on your flashlight and scroll around the room until you find the speaker yoou use to get down into the boiler room.

18. Once you are in the boiler room, scroll around until you find the fuse box. Open it.

19. Inside the fuse box, there will be a mix of red and green lights. You have to turn all the lights green.

20. Once all the lights are green, the lights will turn back on.

21. Go back to HQ and talk to G. Then the mission is finished.

Here’s a pic of the medal:

You also get a card from the penguin from the nightclub:

Hey everyone, there’s been a new post on the CPIP blog. It is about penguin mail (yet again) but has a picture of what it’s actually going to look like. Here it is:

Hello Penguins!

Penguin Mail is ALMOST ready to launch, but before it does, we wanted to get your feedback on it. Below is a image of what it will look like. After our first post about Penguin Mail a few weeks ago we got a bunch of creative comments about designs and ways to make postcards even cooler than they are now. Many of you like the logo we posted on that blog, but asked to see more of the actual design.

Here’s one view of the new Penguin Mail:

cpip-fri-3b.jpg

You’ll definitely get the full picture when the feature launches this month–even as early as next week. This ‘mailbox’ will allow you to send mail to your buddies even when they’re not online, save postcards, ignore postcards and delete them too. The coolest part to me is that whenever I’m in Club Penguin and receive a postcard, Penguin Mail will let me know! That way I won’t miss any cool cards from other penguins!

No matter where you are in Club Penguin, you’ll always be able to check your mail by clicking on the grey envelope at the top left of your screen.

As always, let us know what you think and definitely what you would like to see added in the future!

Until then…waddle on!

-The Club Penguin Team
There has also been a new post on the regular blog:
Hello Penguins

blog-july5a.jpg
It’s hard to decide what I like best, but the Sunburst Acoustic guitar is definitely at the top of my list. What about you? There’s a couple new wigs too–I’m definitely a fan of The Messiness.

blog-friday2a.jpg

As always we love to hear what you think! What’s your favorite combination with the new catalogs?

In other news: There’s more than new catalogs to check out when you have a chance. There’s a new pin to find and Rockhopper is staying for the weekend! If you haven’t met him yet, I hope you do. He’ll be around until Monday morning. I heard he’s having a great time with everyone!
Until then… waddle on!
